about me
As a figurative painter and sculptor, my work is concerned with the human experience, and the underlying paradox of universal and particular lived experiences that connect us all. Much of my work explores themes of gender, queerness, sexuality, self-exploration and self-love.
My current painting practice is exploring self-romance, and being my own greatest romantic partner. Iām also leading a collaborative sculptural project funded by the American Rescue Plan, which will involve casting 19 menstruating people in plaster to create a figure inserting a tampon. The 19 models will also contribute a story of their lived experience in a menstruating body. We meet monthly to share and connect, and consider this a community building project as much as an artistic one.
